My personal bucketlist

Sunday, January 20, 2013

While I'm warming my hands on a steaming hot cup of tea, completely mesmerized by the little snowflakes reaching the ground. I'm drifting off into my own little world, as usual. Have you ever had such a great desire to do something with your life, you need change, excitement? Well I have. Life is like a road, you put one foot in front of the other and go, do, live, breathe and experience. The only thing is that people may forget there are bends, twists, turns, dips, and a few potholes along the way, it's in your hands which way to go and how to reach your destination, but most importantly in the end it gets you somewhere. Sometimes it feels like my life is going in slow motion, I'm craving new things, challenges, exciting opportunities, but somehow these things never happen to me. Now I'm sitting here daydreaming about life and I came to the conclusion that life won't offer you these things, you're the one who has to get on the road and start driving. If you want good things to happen to you, you're the only one who can make them happen. So from now on I'm going to take matters into my own hands! I have so many ambitious plans, but I never take that last step, mainly because I don't like to get out of my comfort zone. I thought I would make a bucketlist for things I want to do in 2013, not like new years resolutions, this list will contain little goals, plans, simply things that will make me happy and put a smile on my face. I just need a little push sometimes, but that's alright, as long as I'm able to actually take that step.

1. Visit the city of love, Paris
2. Read one book a month
3. Visit Stockholm
4. say "yes" more often
5. Own a polaroid camera
6. Go jogging 2 times a week
7. Start with driving lessons
8. Save money
9. Invest in a Macbook
10. 365 project
11. Go to a concert
12. Make an inspiration wall
13. Watch the sunrise on a beach
14. buy my first lottery ticket
15. dare to be different

I will place this list at the sidebar here on my blog and hopefully I can scratch off the first one soon! Maybe throughout the months I'll add some more things to it, but for now this is enough to start with! Have you some sort of bucketlist? or do you recognize yourself in this?

Hugs,
Lara

    1. Thank you so much Monica, so sweet of you! When I just started with blogging I was a bit insecure about my writing because English isn't my native language. So comments like yours truly make my day! x

  8. Love the bucket list! If I had one it might be very similar, minus jogging, totally hate jogging, haha. Ok, so I have some things from this list - I have a MacBook (I'd say it's a bit too expensive, BUT I am in love with it) and I have been to Paris and Stockholm. Both are amazing. 8, 12 and 15 are musts for me. Totally.

You have such a lovely blog!

  9. The inspiration wall is a lovely idea! But out of all of those, I'd still pick "read one book a month" (book lover here, hi!) =]
