Favorite photo apps

Sunday, May 19, 2013

Since i was a tiny little creature i had some sort of unexplainable fascination for photography. The way you could capture a smile, a tear or any other genuine emotion on a photo always captivated me. I believe i started with photography when i was around 8 years old, i got a tiny little camera which was the size of a match-box, it was shitty quality, but i didn't really care as long as i was able to take photos. Now i have my beloved Canon, but to be honest, i think i use my iphone much more. Just to make little snaps, snaps that capture tiny special moments of your life, moments that make our lives so entertaining and worth living. That's probably the reason why i have a dozen of photograph apps on my iPhone, i'm always nosing through the app store to find new apps with pretty filters and handy settings! After trying a shitload of different apps i ended up with 4 favorites and i thought sharing them with you wouldn't hurt!

BeautifulMess
"your life is beautiful. Your photos should be, too."
This app is my most recent find and addiction! Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess have made this gorgeous photo app which contains custom filters, fun fonts and hand-drawn doodles! Especially the hand-drawn doodles and cute borders are my favorite, they make your photos look so cheerful!

Afterlight
I use this app only for it's filters really, it has a wide variety of them from subtle ones to really strong ones, so definitely worth checking out! It has the standard settings like exposure, contrast etc. as well and the basic layout makes it super easy and fun to use.

Vsco cam
This app is definitely my all-time favorite! VSCO cam has these really awesome old-skool/vintage filters, which are perfect for people who like that grainy polaroid effect! Like the Afterlight apps it has the standard settings as well and the ability to instantly upload your photos to any social media platform you like.

Picfx
This app is quite famous for it's awesome bokeh effect, but it's definitely more than that! It has some pretty awesome filters as well and the ability to instantly upload your photos to your instagram is quite handy too.

What are your favorite photography apps?
Happy monday!

Flowers and Lemon tart | A day in life

Sunday, May 12, 2013

With mothers day comes flowers, a champagne breakfast, home-made lemon meringue tart and lots, lots of hugs, basically just pampering your mother till she gets annoyed by it and that's exactly what we did. We baked a little, ate a little, drank a lot, overall we just had a really nice, relaxing day. The perfect start of a new week and i will need it because unfortunately my two weeks off are over, so it's time to get back to business! sigh, time flies these days. Luckily i have loads of things to look forward to, my birthday is one of them. Only 15 days to go.. eeeek

How was your sunday?

Day of blogging and coffee drinking | Outfit

Saturday, May 11, 2013

Since my last outfit post was positively received i decided to go for another one, but since there was nobody near me who was able to take proper photographs, i had to do it in a slightly different way. Saturdays are often lazy days for me, a little bit blogging, working on new templates, coffee drinking, basically activities i usually have no time for. (and maybe a little bit of preparing for mothers day) For a casual day suits a casual outfit so i went for a simple jeans and jumper (again), it is that i had to go outside today otherwise i probably would have been dressed like a slob, as i usually tend to look like on rainy days like today.

I've also been working on some new templates, i even published one of them already on Etsy. I decided to start charging prices for the templates as i put a lot of effort in making them and surprisingly people really like these basic and clean templates. Click here to check out the template on Etsy!

Enjoy your saturdays and don't forget to pamper your mothers well tomorrow!

Breakfast at tiffany's & home-made pizza

Saturday, May 04, 2013

“I don’t want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I’m not sure where that is but I know what it is like. It’s like Tiffany’s.”
What better way to spend your evening than with some Audrey Hepburn movies and pizza (home-made may i add). I always used to say if being a fan of Audrey Hepburn was a crime i'd plead guilty. I believe i was around 13 years old when i've had my first encounter with Audrey, i had watched breakfast at tiffany's. There's just something about her character in this movie that's so magical, i feel compassion for her, i want to take her hand and say everything will be alright. Somehow i always believed her character in Breakfast at tiffany's was just her, Audrey, and that's probably why i find this movie so entertaining and mesmerizing, it's like it's actually her life, this is Audrey Hepburn. I wish she still lived, i would have loved to meet her.
